Jeff & Vida booked for September!
Hi Fredheads,
Last September we had the fantastic Toy Hearts appearing at Grateful Fred’s (by the way we have them back in April 2012!!), and I am really chuffed to be able to announce that we have another wonderful Bluegrass act now booked for September 2012.
We have the excellent Jeff & Vida booked on Thursday September 6th.
I believe that The Toy Hearts are big fans of Jeff and Vida so that tells you something about how good they are.
Tickets will be available online soon but here’s one of their videos to wet your appetite…
Great Music Show
Hi Fredheads,
In a very round-a-bout way I came across a great internet radio show called “Songs From The Ark” created and presented by Del Day who also owns a music PR company that specialises in PR for the type of artists that I like and that would (in an ideal world) play at Grateful Fred’s.
You can listen to the show “live” each week on Reverb Radio or, if your like me and like to listen at your own pace, you can download the show from it’s Facebook page. Each show appears to be recorded by a chap called “Captain Jim Painter” who then uploads them to Dropbox so you can either hear them there or, as I did, save them to your iTunes library and then add them to your iPhone/iPod/iPad or MP3 player.
I’ve been listening to the show today and the music is great and you can tell that it’s a labour of love for Del. I’ve already heard a great singer-songwriter called Cam Penner who I’d love to book for Grateful Fred’s.
Hope you enjoy Del’s show.
Murmuration? No I’d never heard of it either.
