Before the war I used to play in a band called Palomino and in it’s infancy it consisted of Ken Roberts, Kevin Walford and we all played guitar and sang three part harmony.
We got signed for a very short period of time to a subsidiary of Warner Brothers. But the oil crisis hit and we were dropped almost immediately. Kevin now lives in Suffolk but still sings and performs and he is a brilliant writer. Hopefully we can get him to come and perform at Grateful Fred’s in 2012.
Here is a link to where you can listen to a selection of Kevin’s songs. I love, amongst others, “Harvest Home” and “Sail The Wide World Over” but there are so many great songs. Please take a listen and if you like them let him know.

…and it was me who recorded their album onto CD. Do you remember, Kev?
